Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 10
Nose tackle Brandon Williams should be able to rack up tackles and wrap up the Jaguars in Week 10.

Allen Bailey, Defensive End

Allen Bailey of the Kansas City Chiefs is another 3-4 end that you shouldn’t be afraid of – ever, primarily, but I’ll settle for pubbing him in Week 10. I went a bit beyond my typical restriction of “owned in less than 15% of ESPN leagues”, but he’s decimal points above that mark; as the 11th-best defensive end in balanced scoring, he shouldn’t be. To be fair, Bailey has been fairly boom-or-bust this year, with three weeks in double-digit fantasy point totals but four below three fantasy points. That said, he’s on pace for 62 total tackles and 9 sacks in the 2015 season, not to mention 6 stuffs – not too shabby for a 3-4 lineman.

In his Week 10 matchup, Bailey and the Chiefs draw their second 2015 go-around against the Denver Broncos. In their previous showdown, Bailey had just two solo tackles, but Denver was much less interested in rushing the ball back then; they rushed just 22 times. The Broncos are averaging about 25 rushing attempts over their last four games and -– while that’s still not drastically more –- they have had two of their last three games with 30 or more rushing attempts. As the weather gets colder, expect that to sustain. Players like Bailey won’t get big play value against the Broncos, but can sustain value with tackle numbers.

Bailey is available in 84.2% of ESPN IDP leagues. We project him for around 3.0 tackles, an extremely high chance for a sack, and a total score of 5.34 balanced fantasy points in Week 10.
