Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 10
Nose tackle Brandon Williams should be able to rack up tackles and wrap up the Jaguars in Week 10.

Brandon Williams, Nose Tackle

This is another one of our usual tenets I’m going to ask you to violate today: when I say to avoid using defensive tackles in IDP formats, especially nose tackles in a 3-4 scheme, I only mean most of the time. Brandon Williams of the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10 is a prime reason why the 0-tech may not be totally useless in fantasy formats. Williams on his own has been solid in fantasy, with just three of eight games with less than three fantasy points, but four games with more than five. He’s soaked up a whopping 29 total tackles this season, good for 11th among defensive tackles in the league.

This week, he gets to go toe-to-toe with a Jacksonville Jaguars’ offensive line that has allowed a 10.5% stuff rate (15th-highest in the NFL) to opposing defenses, as well as a 7.4% sack rate (8th-highest). With that kind of disruption potential, as well as his solid tackle based, Williams makes for an intriguing streamer play. The Jaguars have are the sixth pass-happiest offense in terms of pass-to-run play calling ratio, but with one good push, Williams could get his.

Williams is available in 86.0% of ESPN IDP leagues. We project him for around 3.5 tackles, a chance for a sack, a solid chance for a pass defensed, and a total score of 4.41 balanced fantasy points in Week 10.
