Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 10
Nose tackle Brandon Williams should be able to rack up tackles and wrap up the Jaguars in Week 10.

Davon House, Cornerback

I was hoping that Davon House would become the shutdown corner he seemed to think he was when he left the Green Bay Packers for greener pastures (read: $$$) in Jacksonville, but that sadly was not to be. House has had a rough first year as a starter, at points finding himself demoted to nickel cornerback, though he was put in impossible – such as being asked to shadow Mike Evans and DeAndre Hopkins in consecutive weeks. I don’t care how good you are, unless you’re Deion Sanders you won’t completely shut out two of the best young receivers in the NFL. That said, his coverage bugaboos might provide IDP players with streaming boons in Week 10.

I’ve been targeting this matchup for wide receivers, because both the Jaguars’ and Ravens’ secondaries rank near the bottom of the league in terms of Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. However, though they’re bad in coverage, that’s good for their tackle counts. I’m betting on House blowing a bunch of deep man-to-man targets to Chris Givens or Kamar Aiken and having to drag them down. The real metric you want to know for this matchup: Baltimore has the eighth-highest pass-to-run ratio of playcalling. There will be plenty of targets to go around.

House is available in 100.0% of ESPN IDP leagues. We project him for around 3.5 tackles, a good chance for a sack, 1.5 passes defensed, and a total score of 7.78 balanced fantasy points in Week 10.
