"Given the age of Antonio Gates, it’s only a matter of time before the San Diego Chargers’ second-round pick Hunter Henry takes over as the top tight end in their offense. Also, due to the injury concerns surrounding Gates late in his career, Henry could potentially see an increased role as a rookie either to replace Gates when he goes down or in an effort to reduce Gates’ workload. Whether or not he puts up TE1 numbers early in his career, he's bound to have a successful career after Gates’ departure; thus, Henry should draw significant value in dynasty leagues." -- Austin Gayle

"Color me skeptical, but if the Chargers were really worried about Gates, wouldn't they have just kept Ladarius Green? Green was more than two-tenths faster in the 40-yard dash, and jumped a combined 14 inches more in the broad and vertical jumps. He also had, you know, actual NFL production. I'm convinced that Gates will be used extensively until he is completely done, and by then who knows what the status will be of Philip Rivers and the rest of the Chargers weapons. Hard pass for me." -- Anthony Amico
