NFL
Fantasy Football 2016 Rookie Mock Draft: Round 3
The numberFire crew continues their rookie mock draft with Round 3. Who were some of the biggest surprises?

3.11: Charone Peake, WR, New York Jets

Drafter Comments

"I've found myself taking Peake in the third round a bunch so far this offseason. I'll admit it: I'm a sucker for athletic wideouts with prototypical size. Due to injuries and a loaded Clemson depth chart, Peake didn't do much in college, but he flashes big-time ability in small doses. His effort and production aren't consistent enough right now. I'm not expecting any returns on my investment in the near future, but in Round 3, I'm willing to gamble on him putting it together down the road." - Austan Kas

Other Comments

"Peake certainly has the athletic profile you look for in a wide receiver, with a 4.45 40-yard dash time and 157.5 inches total in the broad and vertical jumps at 209 pounds. His career production is extremely poor, but that's why he slipped to the seventh round of the NFL Draft, and the late-third round here. The Jets don't have a ton of options after Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, and the former will probably have to be replaced fairly soon due to his age. There's a shot that Peake earns some playing time here long term, but he probably has to beat out last year's second round pick, Devin Smith, to do it." -- Anthony Amico
