12 Players to Avoid in Fantasy Football Drafts This Year
While everyone wants to know who will be the next big sleeper in fantasy football, it's just as important to find out which players we should be avoiding.

Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots

By Joseph Nammour

The Patriots are without Tom Brady for the first four games of the regular season, which equates to 31% of the fantasy season. Starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is unproven but undoubtedly less talented than Brady, which stands to negatively impact Julian Edelman.

There is also a good chance that Edelman regresses in the touchdown department this year -- he scored 2.29 more touchdowns last season than he should have, per JJ Zachariason's analysis -- and the Patriots added a big red-zone target in Martellus Bennett this offseason.

With Dion Lewis seemingly back and healthy, we might even see a less pass-happy New England offense.

Edelman should have a fine season, but he's currently being overdrafted at WR19 in PPR formats and at WR21 in standard ones.
