12 Players to Avoid in Fantasy Football Drafts This Year
While everyone wants to know who will be the next big sleeper in fantasy football, it's just as important to find out which players we should be avoiding.

Matt Forte, RB, New York Jets

By Tony DelSignore

Matt Forte just doesn't look quite right in a New York Jets' uniform. His fantasy production this season may not look quite right, either.

Forte joins a Jets team that had the 10th-most rushing attempts in the league last year, so he should have plenty of opportunity on the ground. Forte won't be a bust based on the fact that he is now a 30-year-old running back or that the Jets can't run the ball. It's more about the potential for his reception totals to fall off a cliff.

Forte's claim to fame over his career has been his incredible pass-catching ability in Chicago -- his 487 receptions since 2008 are by far the most among all running backs during that time span.

Part of the reason Forte could be a bust this season is because of Bilal Powell.

Powell is an impressive pass-catching specialist who had 32 receptions over his final six games alone last year and will likely steal some third-down work. At the very least, there will be a strong split in the backfield between Powell and Forte.

According to FantasyFootballCalculator.com, Forte is being selected as the 13th running back at pick 3.12 in points per reception (PPR) leagues.

It could be wiser to wait another round or so to take guys like C.J. Anderson, Danny Woodhead or Giovani Bernard.
