Players to Stack: Phillip Danault, Max Pacioretty, Brendan Gallagher
With Carey Price getting the night off, many will look at the Dallas Stars side of this game, and specifically the top line of Jason Spezza, Tyler Seguin, and Patrick Sharp to attack the Canadiens. While they make for a decent play, the trio of Danault, Pacioretty, and Gallagher is an even better tournament play.
In limited time together, this line owns an 81.6 Corsi For per 60 minutes and is dominating possession with a 58.4 Corsi For %.
Not only have they been up-tempo together, but each of the players on this line have an individual Corsi For per 60 minutes of over 13-- Danault at 13.2, Pacioretty at 19.2, and Gallagher at 21.8.
Five-on-five numbers like that are hard to come by for a whole line, which would suggest it is a matter of time before this line explodes. GPP players should not miss the boat on Montreal's top line, especially against the Stars' 77.2% penalty kill.
