3 Daily Fantasy Hockey Stacks for 1/4/17
Mikael Backlund and his line mates make for a high-upside stack tonight against the Avalanche.

Calgary Flames

Players to Stack: Mikael Backlund, Matthew Tkachuk and Michael Frolik

This is a line that often goes under-owned even though they have played tremendous hockey. In a large sample, they are an awesome possession line (57.8 Corsi For %) and play at a high pace (65.2 Corsi For per 60 minutes).

Their matchup with the Colorado Avalanche is also phenomenal. They have a sub-par goalie in Calvin Pickard (73.4 High Danger Save %) and struggle on the penalty kill at 78.9%. While Backlund and company should see most of their ice time against Colorado's top two lines, Nathan MacKinnon and Matt Duchene's lines have been solid matchups for opposing offenses.

Mackinnon's current line owns almost a 60 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and only a 44 Corsi For % while Duchene's line is an even worse 61 and 39% in those same categories, respectively.

We'll see Backlund, Tkachuk, and Frolik all on the second power play unit along with Dougie Hamilton, who is one of the top individual Corsi defensemen in the league and makes for a great fourth player if you are interested in a full Flames stack.
