Players to target: Matthew Tkachuk, Mikael Backlund, and Michael Frolik
The Calgary Flames are coming off an impressive 5-1 win against a defensively stout Minnesota Wild team. In a road matchup against the New Jersey Devils, the Flames offense is set up for another big night. While the top line is in play as a stack, the second line projects for a better matchup.
Backlund's line will see the majority of their time against the second line for the Devils centered by Adam Henrique. Henrique and his line-mates allow 67.8 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and own only a 35.9 Corsi For Percentage. Tkachuk, Backlund, and Frolik own a 66 Corsi For per 60 minutes and 57.9 Corsi For Percentage.
This projects to be a huge advantage for the Flames second line, who will have both Backlund and Tkachuk on the second power play unit with Dougie Hamilton and Mark Giordano. Frolik will probably be the lowest owned of the bunch, but he has the highest Individual Corsi For per 60 minutes at 16.3. He will be a threat to score at even-strength in a great matchup, so don't leave him out of your Flames stack.
