FanDuel Price: $3,200
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Josh Donaldson and the Toronto Blue Jays are at home against Matt Shoemaker, a right-handed fly-ball pitcher (37.3% fly-ball rate). Donaldson, who has a .315 ISO at home against right-handed pitchers will likely be the chalk play.
Why You Should Use Him:
Kyle Seager is part of a Seattle Mariners lineup that has been very hot over the last 14 days. They have the 12th best wOBA (.342) in that span, and Seager sports a .962 OPS against right-handed pitching in 2016.
Masahiro Tanaka, meanwhile, is in the midst of a great season, but he does have some warts to left-handed bats. His hard-hit rate increases by 4.8% versus left-handed hitters, and his strikeout rate drops to 19.1% on the road.
Seager's hard-hit rate of 46.7% over the last 14 days ranks 18th in all of baseball, and he's an excellent pivot off of Donaldson at a much cheaper price point.
