FanDuel Price: $8,800
Our models love Robbie Ray in tonight's matchup with the Atlanta Braves. Not only is his projected point total of 35.9 FanDuel points fewer than a point shy of Scherzer's top-ranked mark, but Ray is $2,100 cheaper than the Washington Nationals' ace.
Ray has been one of the game's best pitchers this season thanks to a spike in velocity and an improved slider. For the year, he owns the fifth-best strikeout rate (28.3%) and seventh-best SIERA (3.44). His price being this low -- which can probably be attributed to his 7-11 record and 4.31 ERA -- is pretty bonkers.
The Braves have been a team to target all year when it comes to tabbing your DFS pitcher, and they're still awful offensively. Atlanta ranks last in homers (89), wRC+ (80), and wOBA (.295). The Braves will certainly see a bump from playing at hitter-friendly Chase Field, but it shouldn't scare you off Ray.
