Domingo Santana is having a decent year, but injuries have limited his production. He owns a .334 wOBA through 194 plate appearances, which is right in line with the .336 wOBA he posted last year.
Where he has really excelled, though, is against left-handed pitching, slashing .269/.370/.496 through 138 plate appearances with a 37.7% hard-hit rate and .374 wOBA. With that success against southpaws, tonight's matchup against Jaime Garcia is a good one.
Garcia is a quality pitcher on a weak pitching slate, so Santana may even be a little contrarian, but the St. Louis Cardinals' lefty is allowing a .324 wOBA to right-handed hitters on a 31.3% hard-hit rate.
