5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/8/17
Justin Smoak has been crushing the ball recently and he has big upside against Trevor Bauer and the Indians. Who else should you target for big-time daily fantasy baseball value on Monday?

Chris Carter, 1B, New York Yankees

FanDuel Price: $2,600

Rookie Davis is getting the nod for the Cincinnati Reds, and that has created a golden opportunity for opposing hitters in fantasy so far.

Davis has opened the year with a brutal 5.69 SIERA, posting a 13.2% walk rate that is dangerously close to his 14.5% strikeout rate.

Chris Carter has struggled a bit through 60 plate appearances, but he's coming off his fourth straight season with a hard-hit rate of about 36.0% and a fly-ball rate above 45.0%. He also posted a strong .277 ISO while tying for the National League lead in dingers last year. The New York Yankees have an appealing 4.56 implied total in this one, and Carter offers plenty of upside.
