Clevinger's 2017 numbers are mostly improved from what he put up as a rookie in 2016, but he still has had some issues, posting a 4.06 SIERA and 12.2% walk rate through 6 starts.

The sample-size isn't huge, but he's had an especially tough time with left-handed hitters, allowing a 4.50 xFIP on the season, and the 51.9% fly-ball rate lefties have tagged him for is especially concerning in the thin Coors air.

Charlie Blackmon is on pace for one of his best seasons, boasting career-highs in wOBA (.404) and isolated slugging (.278) through 263 plate appearances, and his especially strong .432 wOBA, 39.7% hard-hit rate and 44.7% fly-ball rate put him in a great spot against Clevinger.
