Why He Will Go Overlooked:
How does a guy miss this much time and just come back and start raking? That's what Freddie Freeman of the Atlanta Braves has done so far, and he'll be licking his chops tonight. At home, he will face Taijuan Walker, who's allowed a .337 wOBA to lefties.
A less obvious play is Kyle Seager of the Seattle Mariners, who's hitting a career-low .248 this season, but could be in for a big night.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Seager's struggled a bit this year, he's still maintained a healthy 35.1% hard-hit rate, which is actually above his career average of 33.7%.
Tonight's matchup couldn't be juicier -- he'll face James Shields of the Chicago White Sox, who's allowed a .430 wOBA to left-handed bats.
What's even worse is analyzing Shields' batted-ball profile versus lefties. They've knocked him for a 31.6% hard-hit rate and a whopping 57.9% fly-ball rate.
With Shields posting a 9.0% swinging-strike rate this season, the low water mark for his career, Seager could be primed to bust out.
