4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 7/17/17
Fresh off a wrist injury that sidelined him most of the first half, Marcus Semien could be in line for a big night. Who else makes for a great under-the-radar play?

Marcus Semien, SS, Oakland Athletics

FanDuel Price: $2,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Everyone is waiting for the Chicago Cubs to wake up out of their doldrums, and they may be going in the right direction with a three-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles to start the second half. Addison Russell was a big part of that, ripping four hits over the weekend, including two bombs. He's likely to be a high-owned option.

Missing most of the year due to a wrist injury, Marcus Semien of the Oakland Athletics may be an afterthought for most DFS players.

Why You Should Use Him:

The Oakland Athletics may only have an implied team total of 4.51 runs tonight, but they have a nice matchup against Jake Odorizzi. Odorizzi has been beaten up by same-sided hitters, who've notched a 45.9% hard-hit rate and 41.0% fly-ball rate against him in 2017.

Enter Semien, who busted out last season with 27 long balls and a .193 ISO. That included a 44.0% fly-ball rate and a 28.8% hard-hit rate against righties.

For a pretty cheap option at what can be a tough position to fill, Semien has big-time potential at a bargain bin price.
