4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 9/22/17
Justin Smoak has been slumping a bit, but looks to get back on track tonight against Masahiro Tanaka. Who else could make for a sneaky play?

Justin Smoak, 1B, Toronto Blue Jays

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Working his way back from an elbow injury, Paul Goldschmidt has been sizzling lately, and tonight should be no exception at home against Adam Conley. He's posted two efforts of 20.0-plus FanDuel points in his last five games as he readies himself for the postseason.

Facing New York Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka and dealing with a bit of a slump, Justin Smoak may get overlooked at first base.

Why You Should Use Him:

With only three hits in his last 19 at-bats and one homer since early September, Smoak hasn't been providing his usual pop lately, but that could change against the Yankees.

Tanaka has been very strong in the second half (3.06 xFIP), but he's surrendered quite a few long balls. For the season, he's allowed 1.90 homers per nine innings pitched to left-handed batters.

Smoak has posted a 41.0% hard-hit rate and 45.1% fly-ball rate in this situation, so look for him to round back into form tonight.
