5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/21/18
Marcell Ozuna has had a slow start to 2018, but he offers plenty of upside against Ian Kennedy. Which other budget-friendly hitters should you target?

Jay Bruce, OF, New York Mets

Price: $2,900

Jay Bruce has seen just about all of his numbers plummet in 2018, but there's still some room for optimism in some spots, particularly when he's priced nice and low like he is tonight.

His .311 wOBA and .155 ISO against right-handed pitching are not egregious marks, and he has so far paired them with an 11.8% walk rate and 19.1% strikeout rate -- both better than his clips in 2017 (10.0% walk rate and 21.1% strikeout rate), when he notched a .369 wOBA and .273 ISO.

Tonight's matchup also leaves room for him to show some of that old upside as he's taking on Miami Marlins right-hander Elieser Hernandez. Hernandez has made just three Major League starts, but his 5.10 SIERA does not inspire much confidence. It's not like he was crushing in the minors, either, with a solid 3.95 xFIP in two Double-A starts and a worrying 4.33 xFIP in two High-A starts to open 2018.
