While Justin Upton doesn't quite have reverse platoon splits, he's a hitter that has produced very similarly against left- and right-handed pitching. This makes him a great player to target in a matchup with a pitcher like Jake Odorizzi, who does have reverse platoon splits.
Over his career, Upton has a .268/.339/.457 slash with a .346 wOBA and .188 isolated slugging against right-handed hitters. His production has been down a bit this season, but he's looked solid in the month of June with a .331 wOBA and .206 isolated slugging.
Odorizzi has really struggled with right-handed hitters over his career, allowing a .325 wOBA with a 4.74 xFIP. This season has been especially rough, with that xFIP number jumping up to 5.05, numbers that are very encouraging for Upton's value tonight.
