4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/1/16
Outfield is full of appealing plays tonight, which should leave Franklin Gutierrez underowned, even in a great matchup. Who else will fly under the radar in daily fantasy baseball?

Wil Myers, 1B, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Wil Myers and the Padres are projected for just 3.9 runs tonight. With several other top first basemen in better spots, Myers isn't likely to be a popular play.

Why You Should Use Him:

Myers will be facing right-hander Jimmy Nelson, who has given up a combined 12 runs over his past two starts. Nelson has a respectable 3.42 ERA on the year, but his 4.83 suggests there's some serious regression coming soon.

Myers has actually posted reverse-splits in his career, especially in the power department, where he has posted a higher career slugging percentage and ISO against righties. Nelson has pitched better against righties in his career, but given his recent struggles, you should feel confident targeting hitters of any handedness against him tonight.

Edwin Encarnacion is likely a better cash game option, but Myers is an intriguing low-owned option at first base with comparable upside to the top options. Give him a look in tournaments.
