The 10 Best NFL Teams to Not Win a Super Bowl Since 2000
Which teams have fallen short of both expectations and the final prize?

8. 2010 New England Patriots

nERD: 11.75

Speaking of the Patriots, they couldn't avoid this list -- even with four Super Bowls in the past 16 seasons. I guess when you're good just about every year, that can happen. In 2010, they were almost as good as they've ever been.

Bill Belichick's team achieved a record of 14-2 in the regular season and wrapped up a first round bye in the AFC. Brady threw for 3,900 yards and 36 touchdowns while BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead combined for over 1,500 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground. The defense led the league in interceptions, but all of that wasn't enough.

In a matchup with the New York Jets in the divisional round, the Patriots fell victim to Mark Sanchez and the Jets defense. They managed 21 points, but the Jets out-scored them 28-21, undoing what the Patriots had done in the 16 games prior.
