Some may feel like Latavius Murray burned them a few weeks ago when Dalvin Cook suffered a torn ACL. It was unclear how the Minnesota Vikings would divide the workload between Murray and Jerick McKinnon, but it has certainly seemed like McKinnon took over over the last few weeks. If you picked up Murray instead of McKinnon, you might be a little salty.
However, McKinnon's big performances in Week 5 and 6 didn't quite relegate Murray to the bench. In fact, he's actually seen his carries increase in each of the past three weeks (12, 15, and 18). McKinnon's big fantasy numbers blinded us to the fact that Murray actually hasn't gone anywhere.
Murray draws the Browns in Week 8, and while they have been surprisingly stout against the run -- they are surrendering the sixth-fewest yards per game to opposing rushers -- the Vikings should be playing with a comfortable lead throughout. That positive game script should lead to significant carries not just for McKinnon, but also for Murray.
