6 DraftKings Bargains for Week 3
Despite a potentially daunting matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, a negative game script should only benefit Dion Lewis in Week 3. Who else can grant us some savings on DraftKings this week?

Alex Smith, QB, Washington Redskins

DraftKings Price: $5,800

Projected Points: 19.5

Projected Value (points per $1,000): 3.36

The Washington Redskins' Alex Smith was high on many experts' lists for Week 2's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Though he completed 71.7% of his 46 passes for 292 yards, Smith couldn't find the end zone. As such, he finished with a paltry 13.08 DraftKings points. Only Blaine Gabbert and Sam Bradford did worse.

He'll look to bounce back this week as the Skins take on the Green Bay Packers, a team who ranks 22nd against the pass in our power rankings.

Smith has four career starts against Green Bay. He has scored at least 17.7 DraftKings points in each of his past three against them, though his most recent of those came in 2015.

Despite allowing just 15.04 points to Mitchell Trubisky in Week 1, the Packers have given up the fifth-most DraftKings points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Smith has the ninth-best Passing Success Rate amongst all quarterbacks this season and his Total Net Expected Points ranks 15th.

Our models have Smith scoring 19.5 DraftKings points this week, with upside for 33.2. That upper end equates to a value of just over 5.7 points per $1,000. Even if he returns the former, that's still solid value for your teams, and his low salary will allow you to spend up elsewhere.
