Matthew Stafford is as sharp of a contrast as you can get from Russell Wilson, but he scores fantasy points in bunches, which is why he's our sixth-rated quarterback for fake football this year.
The Lions' trigger man dropped back to pass over 200 more times than Wilson last year, and despite being less efficient overall, he still finished as a top-12 player in our metrics and as a fantasy scorer. He has two new targets this season in Golden Tate and Eric Ebron, which should only help to boost his productivity in the pass-happy Detroit offense.
There's also a decent amount of upside for Stafford, as the potential remains for him to return to his 2011 form and soar to the top of the fantasy charts. He's going to throw a ton of passes, so his floor is high if he remains healthy, and the potential for a second "breakout" season makes him a nice investment in the middle rounds of a fantasy draft.
