6 Things I Learned From Week 14 of the NFL Season
Le'Veon Bell may be the best running back in the NFL.

Colin Kaepernick Needs to Be Better

This one's been obvious for weeks now, but Colin Kaepernick needs to be better for the 49ers. A lot better.

San Francisco faced the 22nd-ranked secondary yesterday in Oakland, and Kaepernick walked away from the game with a -11.81 Passing NEP. Derek Carr, meanwhile, played 13.26 points above expectation.

Kaepernick's season-long Passing NEP total now sits in the teens, which will typically rank between 20th and 25th in the league. In other words, 49ers fans, your quarterback has arguably been a bottom-10 starter in the NFL this season.
