Yes, Greg Olsen burned a lot of DFS players in Week 1, but his role within the Panthers passing game returned to normal in Week 2 when he caught 6 passes for 70 yards. More importantly, Olsen received a ridiculous 14 targets after garnering a mere three in Week 1.
While Olsen might not receive that many targets again in Week 3, it's clear that the Panthers prioritized him in Week 2, and the results were much better against a more stout defense in the Texans than they were against the Jaguars.
Next up for Olsen and company? The lowly Saints, whose 29th ranked passing defense comes to do battle in Charlotte in Week 3. And while the Saints were able to hold Tampa Bay's Austin Seferian-Jenkins in check in Week 2, they did surrender a big week to the Cardinals' Darren Fells, who reeled off 82 yards and a touchdown against them in Week 1.
The Panthers' notorious lack of good wide receivers virtually assures that Olsen will remain the primary force in the Panthers air attack for the foreseeable future. With a tasty home matchup on the slate, I'm rostering Olsen in cash game lineups without hesitation.
