Players to target: Patrick Maroon, Connor McDavid, and Leon Draisaitl
We don't normally include "obvious" stacks, but this is such a good matchup for Connor McDavid and company that they need to be included. It has become popular by some game-theorists to "fade McJesus," which makes sense on certain nights with hockey being such a volatile DFS sport.
However, this is a night where smart DFS players will be way over the field's ownership on the Edmonton Oilers top line.
I don't need to tell you how good McDavid has been, so here are some stats you might not know about his current line and his matchup with the San Jose Sharks. Maroon, McDavid, and Draisatl own an absurd 73.9 Corsi For per 60 minutes and 67 Corsi For %. If that's not enough, they will be seeing extended time against the second line for the Sharks of Logan Couture, Joonas Donskoi, and Kevin Labanc that is allowing 68.9 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and 11.6 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes.
Even if McDavid gets matched up against San Jose's top line, he should still roll as they give up 62 Corsi Against per 60 minutes (in limited time). On a night with so many options, if McDavid and his line mates aren't over 20% owned in tournaments, you are getting an absolute steal.
