The Oakland Athletics/Texas Rangers game tonight has an over/under of 10, higher than every game except the one being played in Coors today, as two struggling pitchers face off in the hitter-friendly Globe Life Park.

Martin Perez will be starting for the Rangers, Even by Perez's unimpressive standards, with a career 4.22 ERA and 4.55 SIERA, this has been a rough season. He's sporting a 5.26 SIERA with a career-low 11.3% strikeout rate and career-high 9.7% walk rate. He has been particularly ineffective against right-handed hitters, sporting a .342 wOBA and 4.97 xFIP on the year.

Billy Butler hasn't done his best work from the dish this year, but he has still been making some great contact, with a 34.5% hard-hit rate that sits above his career average. He has also done great work against left-handed pitching over his career, slashing .301/.383/.494 with a .375 wOBA and .193 ISO, and against a struggling lefty like Perez, he still has nice upside.
