For the same price, you can roster Noah Syndergaard at the Arizona Diamondbacks. While Syndergaard's ability to get whiffs is always enticing, Justin Verlander has been better lately, and he gets a nice home matchup with the Kansas City Royals.

Verlander has turned back the clock this season as his 26.3% strikeout rate is his best clip since the 2009 campaign. Verlander has been especially dominant at Comerica Park, where he's limiting hitters to a .272 wOBA while his strikeout rate jumps to 29.4%.

Kansas City's 20.0% strikeout rate isn't an ideal number to target, but the Royals make up for it by ranking 24th in wOBA (.306), 29th in ISO (.132), and 29th in homers (98). The defending champs have been brutal on the road, posting an MLB-worst .290 wOBA away from home.
