4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Studs to Target on 8/24/16
Miguel Sano, OF, Minnesota Twins
FanDuel Price: $3,100
After posting a .392 wOBA with a 15.8% walk rate as a rookie, Miguel Sano's wOBA has dropped to .341 in his second season while his walk rate has fallen to 11.9%. He hasn't been as good, obviously, but don't let that scare you off him.
Sano can still do some serious damage. He owns a 41.6% hard-hit rate and 46.0% fly-ball rate. Dude has been on fire in August, boasting a .365 wOBA with a 41.7% hard-hit rate and 52.8% fly-ball rate this month.
Detroit Tigers' pitcher Matt Boyd lines up perfectly for Sano. Boyd is surrendering a 33.9% hard-hit rate and 47.5% fly-ball rate to right-handed hitters. Boyd's pedestrian 19.7% strikeout rate helps offset Sano's ugly 34.6% strikeout rate, which is his one glaring weakness.
The Minnesota Twins' 4.81 implied total is the second-highest of the slate. Sano is our second-ranked hitter, and as the cherry on top, he's not priced like an elite option.
