As he has for most of his career, Mitch Moreland is showing impressive power this season with a 36.5% hard-hit rate and .225 ISO through 389 plate appearances.

Moreland's career numbers show he has a much better go of it versus right-handed pitching, making his matchup with Josh Tomlin a promising one.

Tomlin has a 4.39 ERA and 4.20 SIERA on the year, numbers comparable to his career 4.59 ERA and 4.12 SIERA. He has struggled most against left-handed hitters, pitching to a 4.14 xFIP versus southpaws over his career.
