Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There are three first baseman with monster matchups on Monday who will garner a large majority of the ownership: Edwin Encarnacion at home against Minnesota Twins lefty Pat Dean, David Ortiz at home against righty Ian Kennedy, and Miguel Cabrera at home versus Ricky Nolasco.

Because of this, Freddie Freeman should be a low-owned play.

Why You Should Use Him:

Freeman is starting to put up numbers only seen in the days of R.B.I. Baseball. Up to 26 home runs on the season, he is now sporting a .427 wOBA and .321 ISO in the second half over 171 plate appearances.

Facing San Francisco Giants righty Jeff Samardzija, who sports an xFIP of 4.77 against left-handed bats, Freeman should be an elite play.
