The Chicago Cubs have one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball and rank second in the Majors in Offensive Wins Above Replacement. They should be able to mount some strong offense tonight against Jeff Samardzija, and Jason Heyward makes for a great, low-priced way to get exposure to that upside.

Samardzija has a 4.34 SIERA on the year after posting a 4.18 in 2015, while he is allowing a .336 wOBA with a 4.74 xFIP against left-handed hitting.

Heyward's offense hasn't really been there this season, but he has slashed .278/.363/.449 with a .355 wOBA against right-handed pitching over his career, and batting in a lineup that should give Samardzija a hard time, he offers nice value tonight.
