The Washington Nationals are taking on Philadelphia Phillies' right-hander Alec Asher, who is making his first big-league appearance of the season. Asher made seven starts a year ago, pitching 29 innings, and it didn't go well. He was especially bad versus left-handed hitters, allowing a .453 wOBA.

Asher threw 58 2/3 innings in the minors this season -- 29 1/3 at both Double- and Triple-A -- and his strikeout rate was uninspiring at each stop. He posted a 17.1% strikeout rate in Double-A, and Asher put up a 17.8% strikeout rate in Triple-A.

All of this lines up very well for Bryce Harper. The Nats' slugger owns a .365 wOBA, 33.3% hard-hit rate, and 43.8% fly-ball rate this season against righties. He's also been red-hot of late, mashing his way to a .410 wOBA and 37.0% hard-hit rate over the last 30 days.

Washington's implied total of 4.94 is the highest of the slate by a significant margin, and Harper is in a great spot to contribute to that.
