After Fernandez, things get a little murky as far as pitching goes on the main slate. A lot of the day's top arms -- Madison Bumgarner, Clayton Kershaw and Michael Pineda -- are going in the afternoon, leaving us with several similar-type options as pivots off Fernandez.

Vegas really like Yordano Ventura for his home matchup with the Oakland Athletics. Oakland's 3.45 implied total is mighty attractive, and the Athletics' wOBA of .300 ranks 28th. Their season-long strikeout rate of 18.8% isn't a number we like to target, but Oakland's strikeout rate jumps to 21.4% over the last 30 days.

Ventura is volatile, but he's been better at home, where he's holding hitters to a .299 wOBA. Ventura's bugaboo is his 9.7% walk rate, but Oakland's 7.1% walk rate, which is the third-lowest in all of baseball, may help offset that.
