Why He Will Go Overlooked:

As usual, first base is loaded. There are several guys on offenses with implied totals over five runs, including Carlos Santana's Cleveland Indians and Miguel Cabrera's Detroit Tigers, so Eric Hosmer will likely go overlooked at first base.

Why You Should Use Him:

Hosmer has enjoyed a stellar 2016 campaign, notching a career-high 23 home runs. On Thursday, he will face Daniel Mengden, who has logged a 4.67 SIERA over 56 1/3 innings pitched.

For the 2016 season, Hosmer has racked up an .850 OPS and .178 ISO at home versus righties, and he's been on fire in September. Over 47 plate appearances this month, he's got a 1.008 OPS and .325 ISO.
