A once-promising fantasy sleeper whose past two seasons have been lost to a litany of injuries, Los Angeles Dodgers lefty Hyun-jin Ryu is back in the rotation and thus back on fantasy radars.

A home tilt against the San Diego Padres should prove a nice soft landing spot for Ryu, seeing as how the Pads were a top-five team in terms of swinging-strike frequency in 2016 -- as well as being among the league's least productive offenses against curveballs (per Fangraphs' weighted metrics).

If Ryu has his lethal curve working like he did during his quietly excellent early seasons with the Dodgers, it could be a long day for the Padres' bats. Ryu could go from being a low-key streamer target to a must-add asset in a hurry.
