Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, Arizona Diamondbacks

My favorite batter on the slate, Paul Goldschmidt destroyed southpaw hurlers to the tune of a .352/.494/.576 slash with a .449 wOBA, .224 ISO and massive 44.1% hard-hit rate last season. Those numbers are dominant, and not exactly surprising when you consider his career .435 wOBA and 47.2% hard-hit right against lefties.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are tied with the Nats for the second-highest implied total on the slate, and Goldschmidt is in a great spot here against lefty Matt Moore, who posted a 4.70 xFIP against righties in 2016 while finishing the year with a 4.39 SIERA.
