Among many others, a trio of players have provided good value for their draft position.

We previously touched on the pleasant surprise that was Buchholz. Well, he comes from the 42nd pick and is the only first-round selection to have climbed north of 30 spots due to his major league success.
Jed Lowrie has a sub-10 WAR and isn't to the level of a Buchholz, but he is a well-established major leaguer with 15 home runs in two seasons and 50 RBI in three seasons. Not bad for a compensatory first-rounder.
Outside of Buchholz, Rasmus is the other would-be top-10 selection to have risen up the board so purposefully. He has the highest WAR of the three players and has had at least 14 homers and 40 RBI in all eight of his big league campaigns.
