Curtis Granderson, OF, New York Mets

The New York Mets' offense is in a good spot tonight, sporting a 4.30 implied total against the Atlanta Braves and struggling right-hander R.A. Dickey.

Dickey has opened the season with a shaky 4.59 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), and this is on pace to be his fifth-straight season with a SIERA above 4.00, a stretch that includes marks of 4.76 and 4.81 over the last two years. He's sporting an especially bad 5.13 xFIP against left-handed hitters, making this a great matchup for Curtis Granderson.

Granderson has really struggled to start the season, and there's certainly some room for concern with the 36-year-old, but he is coming off of a 2016 season that saw him post an encouraging .349 wOBA on a 37.3% hard-hit rate against right-handed pitching. This matchup is good enough that, priced only $300 above the minimum-salary, Granderson is worth taking a stab at tonight, recent struggles and all.
