Trevor Cahill, SP, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $7,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

This could be a tough year for the New York Mets, but a bright spot has been the performance of Jacob deGrom. Over six starts and 36 2/3 innings pitched, deGrom has racked up a 31.6% strikeout rate and a 3.25 SIERA. He's likely to see a ton of ownership on Monday as he faces a San Francisco Giants offense that ranks 29th in team wOBA (.277).

Despite a strong start, Trevor Cahill continues to be overlooked and priced as a bargain-bin starter. Given that he worked primarily out of the bullpen in recent years, his low ownership could be fueled by skepticism of his long-term viability, but he is definitely worth a longer look on tonight's DFS slate.

Why You Should Use Him:

Over his first five starts (30.0 innings pitched), Cahill has given fantasy owners everything they could have asked for, and then some.

Posting a 29.8% strikeout rate and a 3.02 SIERA, he not only has been a strong performer, but perhaps one of the best starters in the league.

Two of Cahill's last three starts have been of the quality variety, and he's got a great shot at making that three out of four. He will face a Texas Rangers squad that ranks fifth in strikeout rate (24.1%), and he'll get the added benefit of doing it at Petco Park, which ranks 24th in park factor over the last three seasons.

Cahill continues to surprise folks, and his Monday matchup gives him an opportunity for a huge fantasy day.
