The 10.5 over/under in tonight's Arizona Diamondbacks-Detroit Tigers matchup is the highest on Wednesday's main slate, and Arizona's 5.56 implied total against righty Matt Boyd at hitter-friendly Chase Field is also the highest.

Boyd has opened the season with a shaky 5.10 SIERA, and after posting marks of 4.83 and 4.38 in his first two big league seasons, there's not a ton of room for optimism that things will turn around much. He has also allowed a career-high 38.8% hard-hit rate this season.

There are not many batters are more dangerous against southpaws than Paul Goldschmidt, who hasn't posted a hard-hit rate below 44.0% against lefties since his rookie season in 2011. He owns a career .430 wOBA and .256 isolated slugging (ISO) against left-handed pitching. So far in 2017, he's lived up to his lofty standards with a 50.0% hard-hit rate.
