Zack Cozart, SS, Cincinnati Reds

FanDuel Price: $3,600

The Cincinnati Reds have a 4.27 implied team total, but opposing pitcher Tyler Anderson has been much better than his 6.43 ERA.

In his last two starts, he has a 3.09 ERA in 11 2/3 innings with 18 strikeouts. And those starts were in Coors Field! This puts him at a 3.96 SIERA on the season, with an above average 22.7% strikeout rate, and his 12.7% swinging-strike rate suggests that the punchouts will continue.

He has just a 39.0% ground-ball rate, but that should rise considering he had a 50.9% ground-ball rate across 19 starts in 2016.

Meanwhile, although Zack Cozart has a strong .435 wOBA, it's been fueled by a sky-high .408 BABIP that should come crashing down at some point -- his career BABIP is just .281. This makes his salary a bit high for his actual skill level.

Most of the best shortstop plays are on the expensive side, but Cozart doesn't provide enough salary relief, nor is in a good enough spot to consider as an alternative.
