5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/12/17
Daniel Nava, OF, Philadelphia Phillies
FanDuel Price: $2,200
It's looking like we'll be getting some hitter-friendly conditions in Boston, with strong winds blowing straight out to center field.
Daniel Nava is projected to bat second for the Philadelphia Phillies, and while the sample size isn't big (83 plate appearances), he has been excellent from the dish this year, posting a .401 wOBA with a 35.7% hard-hit rate and 12.5% soft-hit rate. Those strong batted-ball numbers also don't look to be a fluke, as he posted a 35.0% hard-hit rate and 8.7% soft-hit rate in 2016.
The switch-hitting Nava has done his best work against right-handed pitching over his career, which makes his matchup with Rick Porcello, who has allowed a 44.0% hard-hit rate to left-handed sticks, an appealing one.
numberFire's models also have Nava as the top-projected point-per-dollar value on the slate.
