Javier Baez has posted some solid numbers against left-handed pitching this season, sporting a .349 wOBA on a 38.1% hard-hit rate. His struggles with right-handed pitching have kept his salary nice and low despite that success.

His matchup tonight is a good one as he's taking on Miami Marlins southpaw Jeff Locke. The Marlins' starter has a 4.07 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) through 4 starts in 2017 after posting a poor 4.06 SIERA last season, and numberFire's models project Baez as a top-five point-per-dollar value on today's main slate.
