Paul Goldschmidt has been crushing baseballs lately -- he ranks second in average exit velocity among hitters with at least 10 batted balls over the past 15 days.

His production has been phenomenal this season, evidenced by a .440 wOBA and .285 ISO through 317 plate appearances, all while posting a 49.3% hard-hit rate and 10.8% soft-hit rate.

Philadelphia Phillies righty Mark Leiter Jr. has a brutal 5.78 SIERA through 12 games. Friday will be his first MLB start after working out of the bullpen exclusively, making this an even juicier matchup for Goldschmidt.
