4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 6/30/17
J.T. Riddle, SS, Miami Marlins
FanDuel Price: $2,300
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
With three bombs in his last four games and a tasty matchup with Mike Pelfrey on tap, Elvis Andrus is sure to be a popular play at shortstop.
Conversely, sporting only a .262 wOBA, JT Riddle of the Miami Marlins probably won't be on many radars.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Riddle hasn't exactly started off his rookie campaign with a bang, Friday night could be a nice jump start since he has a date with Matt Garza, who has allowed a .331 wOBA to left-handed hitters this year. That also includes a 34.4% hard-hit rate and a 41.3% fly-ball rate.
The rookie shortstop hasn't been great against lefties (.059 ISO and .206 wOBA), he's been far more productive against righties (.285 wOBA and .151 ISO).
And don't forget, Miller Park greatly elevates lefty power. In 2016, left-handed hitters ranked third in home run factor in Milwaukee, which should give Riddle a nice boost.
