Off lefties, he's sporting a .636 wOBA, .643 ISO and 50.0% hard-hit rate -- silly stuff. Against righties, those numbers "drop" to a .366 wOBA, .281 ISO and 46.5% hard-hit rate.
The reason Martinez is a player to fade is more about Wacha, who has been smoking hot in July, racking up a 31.1% strikeout rate and 3.9% walk rate over 26 2/3 frames. In addition to his sparkling form, Wacha has been much tougher on righties this year.
