The switch-hitting Jed Lowrie has been making some outstanding contact against right-handed pitching this season, posting a 36.5% hard-hit rate and 47.3% fly-ball rate with only a 12.7% soft-hit rate, which has converted to a decent .344 wOBA and .185 ISO.

Those numbers put him in a solid spot tonight, as he takes on San Francisco Giants right-hander Matt Cain, who is in the midst of the worst season of his career, sporting a 5.50 SIERA and allowing a .359 wOBA on a 33.6% hard-hit rate to left-handed bats.
